INVI Awards of rtve // Premios INVI de rtve

[ENG] Last thursday, Nov 19, my friends from Mexico Grace Montoya and Aldo Murillo won the 1st prize in Non-Fiction category from Premios INVI (International Awards for the Audiovisual Innovation in Internet) organized by Radio Televisión Española.

At short notice of their nomination, they could not come to Madrid to receive the prize without the assurance of winning it (only at 25% possibility against 3 other finalists) they decided to contact me so that I could represent them in the Awards ceremony in case they were going to win.

Alberto Herguido and I attended the ceremony and to our great surprise we heard the title “For Less Or Free” was called by the judges… they won! I could imagine the glee and elation from the other side of the world.

[ESP] El pasado jueves 19 de noviembre mis amigos Grace Montoya y Aldo Murillo de Mexico ganaron el primer puesto en la categoría No-Ficción de los Premios INVI que organizaba Radio Televisión Española.

Como no pudieron desplazarse a Madrid a recoger el trofeo sin ni siquiera tener la certeza de que realmente fueran a ganar (con el 25% de posibilidades frente a 3 finalistas más) decidieron contactar conmigo para que les representara durante la ceremonia de entrega de premios.

Alberto Herguido y yo acudimos a la ceremonia y qué grande fue nuestra sorpresa al oir el nombre de “For Less Or Free” en boca del jurado… ¡habían ganado! Ya me imaginaba a Aldo y a Grace dando saltos de la emoción desde el otro lado del mundo.

Alberto y yo nos sentimos ganadores por un día, con tanta entrevista y tantas felicitaciones. Con los nervios a flor de piel, salí al escenario a recoger el premio seguido de un breve discurso:
